Dr. Ben Palmer, O.D.

Dr. Palmer completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and received his doctorate of optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2009.

Upon retuning to the Central Coast in 2011 to practice optometry in Nipomo, his focus has been on early disease detection, preventative care, dry eye disease, and recommending customized vision-correcting solutions to patients. Dr. Palmer often prescribes high quality Varilux lenses and has access to all brands of contact lenses.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association and past president of the Tri-County Optometric Association. He and his team take pride in providing new technology and thorough education to their patients.

Dr. Palmer is a proponent of healthy living via exercise and diet. He is a lifelong participant in water sports, having swum collegiately at Cal Poly, currently participates in U.S. Masters swimming, and an avid surfer. Dr. Palmer can also be spotted on local hiking trails with his wife and dog family. We look forward to meeting you!
