What are my options for lenses?

There are many eyeglass lens options available. Dr. Ben Palmer will take your lifestyle and vision correction needs into consideration when helping you select the right lenses for your eyes.

Here are some of the most common eyeglass lens types:

  • Transitions – These lenses are made of special treatments that adapt and adjust darkness to the level of surrounding light. They protect against harmful UV & Blue Light, but are not considered a substitution for sunglasses.
  • Polarized lenses – Offer the best sun protection available for your eyes. These lenses will protect against harmful UV as well as annoying glare.
  • Thinner lenses options – Polycarbonate, Trivex and High Index are materials that will greatly reduce thickness and weight of any prescription. Enhancing the appearance of your lenses.
  • Anti-glare treatment – This treatment uses a special multi-layering technology to reduce annoying glare, smudges, scratching and also protect from harmful UV.
